WatchList + Shopping ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by James Hattin. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use WatchList + Shopping on iOS and watchOS.

Data Collection

WatchList + Shopping does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third party. We have no servers, no analytics, and no tracking.

Data Storage

All data you create in WatchList + Shopping, including shopping lists, items, and store names, is stored:

• Locally on your device using Core Data.
• In your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework, if you are signed in to iCloud. This enables sync between your devices.
• On your Apple Watch via WatchConnectivity for the current shopping session. Watch data is transient and not persisted independently.

We do not have access to your iCloud data. Your data is protected by your Apple ID and iCloud security.

Third-Party Services

WatchList + Shopping uses the following external service:

• OpenFoodFacts — When you scan a barcode, the app sends the barcode number to the OpenFoodFacts API to look up the product name. No personal information is sent. OpenFoodFacts is a free, open database. See their privacy policy at openfoodfacts.org/privacy.
• Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — For syncing your data between your own devices.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to any third party. Period.

Children's Privacy

WatchList + Shopping does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not collect information from anyone. It stores your shopping lists only on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete individual items, lists, and stores within the app at any time. To remove all data, you can delete the app from your device and, if desired, remove WatchList data from iCloud via Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
